Arsene Wenger - Arsenal - Champions League - 4th Place

Arsene Wenger believes his Arsenal side, who currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, are still capable of finishing in the Champions League places.

The Gunners boss was left frustrated after a goalless draw at Bolton on Wednesday evening which left his side five points behind Chelsea in fourth. Arsenal are now 3/1 to finish in the top four while Chelsea are at 1/2 and Newcastle are at 14/1.

“Every game in the championship is a cup final for us now.” – Arsene Wenger

Arsenal were not without chances to win the game. A Robin van Persie header was cleared off the line in the first half and the Holland international hit the woodwork twice after the break, and Wenger is hopeful the team have turned the corner following a run of three straight defeats in the league.

“There is a long way to go and I am confident we can come back,” said Wenger.

“It is a long way to go. We have gone through a difficult period, we’ve lost three league games (prior to the Bollton match) but we could have won the three as well.

“We have confidence but we have to produce it game by game – for us every game in the championship is a cup final for us now.”

Arsenal’s next game is against Blackburn on Saturday, and they can be backed at 7/1 to win 3-0 at the Emirates.
