Betting Preview – Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich 2nd Leg

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is relishing his side’s Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Bayern Munich in the Bernabeu.

Real go into the game trailing 2-1 from the first leg in Germany, but Mourinho’s side are 8/13 to reach the final, where they would face one of his former clubs, Chelsea.

The Portuguese told reporters: “We are going to try to reach the final, these players deserve it. The final of the Champions League is the most important thing in football.

“Bayern are a great team, the coach is good and they have the right to think they are going to play the final.”

Real are 1/2 to win on the night and 8/1 to triumph by a 2-0 scoreline.

Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes also expects a classic encounter in the Spanish capital, with his side having the added motivation of knowing that the final is being played at their own Allianz Arena.

Didier Drogba will lead the Chelsea attack for Tuesday’s crunch Champions League semi-final second leg clash in Barcelona, if he passes a late fitness test.

The Ivory Coast international, who scored the only goal of the game in last week’s first leg at Stamford Bridge, missed Saturday’s goalless draw at Arsenal with a knee injury.

If Drogba fails his fitness test, Fernando Torres, who started the Emirates Stadium stalemate, will be handed the chance to impress against Barcelona, who are 5/1 to win the game 2-0 and 6/5 to retain the Champions League trophy.

Drogba, 9/1 to open the scoring at the Camp Nou, has done some light training and is expected to start the match, but David Luiz is again set to miss out with a hamstring injury which means Gary Cahill, who impressed in the first leg, will continue alongside John Terry in central defence.

They may have the more demanding schedule but Chelsea arrive with a far lighter injury list than their hosts.

The Gunners have lost Mikel Arteta for the rest of the season with an ankle injury and he joins long-term absentees Per Mertesacker (ankle), Jack Wilshere (ankle) and Emmanuel Frimpong (knee).

There is better news for Francis Coquelin and Abou Diaby who are both expected to shake off knocks to make themselves available for the London derby, but Yossi Benayoun is ineligible because of his loan deal from the Blues.

Chelsea will have to get by without Branislav Ivanovic who will finish his three-game suspension after this clash.

On the injury front, David Luiz is expected to miss another week with a hamstring injury sustained in the FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham. Ryan Bertrand (calf) and Oriel Romeu (illness) could both make the matchday squad, although Didier Drogba misses out after playing two games in four days last week.
